Polygonum (He Shou Wu) has been known as a popular anti-aging herb since the Ming Dynasty (14th Century0 in China. It is often used by the sages and the Taois monks to enhance longevity, which is an indispensable herbs for treating any hair disorder. It replenishes the vital essence of the liver and kidney and tonifies the blood. Eclipa ,Mulberry and Ligustrum tonify the Liver and Kidney Yin to benefit the air. Hair Back EX # 240 is a constitutional tonic that changes the fundamental color and texture of hair. Changes in hair texture requires approximately one to two months, and changes in hair color requires four to six months of continuous herbal treatment. Therefore, individuals who take Hair Back EX # 240 must be very patient as changes will not occur immediately.
Case Study:
To evaluate the effectiveness of herbs in treating white hair, 36 patients were selected in a clinical trial. The herbs selected were Polygonum, Dang Gui and Rehamnnia Prepared. The patients were advised to take the herbs once or twice daily continuously until there were significant changes, which vary from one year to 10 years. After 10 years of clinical trial, it was concluded that the use of these herbs were 88.89 % effective, with 24 out of 36 patients showing significant improvement , and 8 patients showing moderate improvement.
